Ottawa, 21st November 2006 (MOREL)- DragonWave Inc a leading global supplier of next-generation wireless networks, today announced that it has been selected by Total Telecom, Pakistan´s leading telecommunication Multi-Service Provider has selected DragonWave´s AirPair solution for high capacity IP backhaul as their partner for all the wireless network deployments in Pakistan and planned roll out to support a nationwide CDMA network which will include EVDO.
Total Telecom required a native IP backhaul for their ISP business as well as a new CDMA cellular network with EVDO roll out. This network will also be used to backhaul traffic from their nationwide WiMax deployments. DragonWave´s solution is providing a high capacity IP backhaul as a fiber replacement and an economical and efficient way to provide full coverage across the country. The new network will provide access to enterprise, government, residential and Municipalities.
