Moerdijk, 20th November 2006 (MOREL)-  Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE:RBA, TSX:RBA), the world´s largest industrial auctioneer, is pleased to announce it will be holding public auctions in four European countries in November and December. Ritchie Bros. also recently announced successful auction results from its first-ever unreserved public auction in Portugal on November 9, 2006.

All auctions conducted by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers are strictly unreserved, which means there are no minimum bids or reserve prices, and the owner is forbidden by contract from bidding on his own equipment. The unreserved auction method combined with a great selection of new and used trucks and equipment play a key role in the Company´s global success.

Ritchie Bros. European operations are currently directed from the Company´s European Head Office located in Moerdijk, the Netherlands. Meppen, Germany - November 23, 2006
On Thursday, November 23, 2006, Ritchie Bros. will be holding its third annual agricultural auction in Meppen, Germany. Equipment in the sale comes from Agravis, Germany´s largest agriculture group.

There are more than 640 items at the unreserved public auction. Featured items include:
- A Case-Steiger 9370 4WD Articulated Agricultural Tractor;
- Two 2003 New Holland TG285 4WD Agricultural Tractors;
- Three 2000 CLAAS Quadrant 2200RC Square Balers.

Valencia (Sagunto), Spain - November 23 - 24, 2006
A Ritchie Bros. unreserved auction in Spain will also begin on November 23, 2006 at the Ritchie Bros. auction site in Sagunto. There are currently over 980 trucks and equipment items that will be sold during the unreserved public auction from Thursday, November 23 to Friday, November 24, 2006.

Featured items in the two-day auction include:
- Three 2003 Terex TR60 Rock Trucks;
- 27 Hydraulic Excavators, including a 2003 Komatsu PC1100SE-6K;
- A fleet of 34 trucks, including 23 Truck Tractors.

Moerdijk, the Netherlands - November 29 - December 1, 2006
From Wednesday, November 29 to Friday, December 1, 2006, the Company´s permanent auction site in Moerdijk, the Netherlands will be holding a large multi-day, unreserved industrial auction. A selection of over 3,100 trucks and equipment items will be sold by unreserved auction over the three days.

The auction features a large amount of construction equipment, including:
- Ten Articulated Dump Trucks, including two unused 2006 Volvo A40D 6X6;
- Over 45 Hydraulic Excavators, including a 2006 New Holland Kobelco E215LC and six unused New Holland Kobelco E135S;
- 26 Loader Backhoes;
- 50 FWD Agricultural Tractors;
- 55 Wheel loaders, including two unused 2006 Case 721D;
- 29 trucks, including 13 Truck Tractors.

Livorno, Italy - December 7, 2006
Wrapping up this year´s European auction calendar is the auction being held in Livorno, Italy on Thursday, December 7, 2006 - the fourth auction this year at the Company´s auction site in Italy. This unreserved public industrial auction features a great variety of trucks and equipment, including 51 excavators, nine wheel loaders, four skid steel loaders, and a fleet of over 15 trucks, including seven truck tractors.

Results: Merinhas (Leiria), Portugal - November 9, 2006
The Company recently announced results from its first-ever unreserved public auction in Portugal. Over 250 bidders, from 22 countries, registered to bid on more than 550 lots of industrial equipment in the Merinhas (Leiria), Portugal auction.

"We are pleased to have been able to hold an auction in Portugal for the first time. We now are making plans to hold another auction there and would invite anyone who is interested in selling their trucks and equipment to call us for a no obligation proposal," said Jeroen Rijk, Ritchie Bros.
